About getbetterat.work

getbetterat.work is a free library of production-ready HTML email templates. It exists because finding a well-built, actually usable HTML email template is harder than it should be.

Most template resources are either paywalled, outdated, visually generic, or produce HTML that breaks in every email client you care about. We wanted something better — a curated, searchable, growing archive of templates you can actually use.

What you'll find here

The library covers the full range of email communication — transactional, marketing, sales, newsletters, customer service, recruiting, events, and more. Templates are organized by both category (what type of email it is) and industry (who's sending it), so you can find something relevant to your specific context.

Each template is a real, tested HTML file. You can preview it live in your browser — at desktop and mobile widths — before downloading. What you see is what you get.

Free vs. paid

The initial library is entirely free. Every template can be downloaded and used without restriction or signup.

We will eventually introduce a small selection of premium templates — more complex designs, industry-specific packs, or specialized content. When that happens, free templates will remain free. No bait-and-switch.

Who it's for

Developers who need a starting point. Marketers who want to send a better email today. Small business owners who don't have a dedicated email designer. Agencies building client communications. Founders writing onboarding sequences. Anyone, really, who sends emails and wants them to look right.

Template quality

Templates are built to work across the major email clients — Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, and Yahoo Mail. Responsive layouts are tested on mobile. Each template is annotated with its compatibility characteristics so you know exactly what you're getting before you download.

Resources

Alongside the template library, we publish practical guides on HTML email design, email client compatibility, transactional email, and related topics. The goal is to help you not just use a template, but understand why it's built the way it is.
